GameMod · early access
Your games. Your DLC.

How it works
Three steps. No modding tools.
- 01
Pick a game
GameMod lists the single-player games you installed from Steam or GOG. Choose the one you want to change.
- 02
Describe the change
“Give me a rescue mission in the first sector that rewards a new ion weapon.” Ask in the chat, the way you'd tell a friend.
- 03
Press Play
GameMod copies the game once, builds your change into the copy and checks it. Then you play.
What you can make
If you can describe it, you can play it.
Quests and events
A distress call, a choice, a reward, written into the game's own event system.
New gear
Weapons, tools and items, with art drawn from the game's own style.
Starting loadouts
Begin every new game with the item you always wished you had.
Crew and characters
Someone new to rescue, recruit or fight, with their own lines.
Rule changes
More resources, tougher enemies, a different start. Tune the game to taste.
Something else?
Ask. If a change isn't possible in a game, GameMod tells you plainly.
Safe by design
Your original game stays untouched.
- A private copy. Your first request copies the game into GameMod's own folder. The game you installed is never changed.
- Space checked first. Before copying, GameMod checks your free disk space and tells you if the game won't fit.
- Undo by deleting. Delete the copy and you're back to the original game, exactly as it was.
- Single-player only. GameMod is for single-player games you own. It isn't for online play or games with anti-cheat.
Games
Every single-player game. Some just take less work.
Games GameMod already knows
For many games GameMod has a tested guide, so it builds changes the way the game expects. They're quicker and use less of your plan.
More guides are added all the time.
Any other single-player game
GameMod studies the game first, which takes longer and uses more of your plan. Many changes work; if one isn't possible, GameMod says so instead of guessing.
Works with the games you own on Steam and GOG.
Pricing
One subscription. Plans announced soon.
GameMod account
You'll need an account and a subscription to make changes. We'll publish the plans before accounts open.
- The AI that builds your changes. No API keys, nothing to set up.
- The app for macOS, Windows and Linux.
- New game guides as they're added.
FAQ
Questions, answered.
Do I need to own the game?
Yes. GameMod works with games you installed from Steam or GOG and copies them on your own computer.
Will it change the game I installed?
No. Every change goes into a private copy in GameMod's own folder. The game you installed stays as it is.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want and GameMod writes the change, checks it and tells you how to see it in game.
Which games work?
Any single-player game you own on Steam or GOG. For many games GameMod already has a tested guide, so changes are quicker and use less of your plan. For any other game it studies the game first, which takes longer and uses more.
Can I use it in multiplayer?
No. GameMod is made for single-player games. Don't take mods into online modes.
Can I sell my modded game or my mods?
No. Your modded copy is for you to play. It contains the game itself, so it can't be sold or given away, and mods made with GameMod can't be sold either. Many games' own terms forbid it too.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple Silicon, or a Windows or Linux PC, enough free disk space for a copy of the game, and a GameMod account with a subscription.
What happens when the game updates?
Your copy stays on the version it was made from. The game you installed keeps updating as usual.
Is modding allowed?
Many games welcome single-player mods, but some terms don't allow it. Check the terms of the games you change.
